What We Want:


Spring Venture Group has an immediate opening for a Product Owner at its Kansas City, MO corporate headquarters. The Product Owner is responsible for working with business stakeholders to develop, maintain and communicate a product/domain vision and roadmap.  The Product Owner will ensure that the Company’s software systems, delivered by the software engineering teams, meet defined business objectives.


 What You’ll Do:

  • Utilize experience and technical knowledge to provide product/domain support to the business
  • Embrace a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ensure that the team being supported has an adequate number of tasks prepared to complete
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Define the product vision, roadmap and associated growth opportunities
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with identified business stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
  • Work with Engineering teams to define and meet established quarterly objectives and key results
  • Research and analyze market, the users and the roadmap for the product
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of the insurance industry, market trends, operating techniques and the company’s competition
  • Simultaneously manage multiple products, responsibilities and deadlines with moderate oversight
  • Foster engagement between the Engineering teams, stakeholders, and end users
  • Ensure solutions deliver on business requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years’ in Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban)
