    What We Want:

    The Head of Strategy is responsible for the overall go to market strategy for growth of SVG both organically and through acquisition. The position is responsible for managing entire sale process from initial prospecting and outreach to execution with small to mid-market companies including responsibilities for managing the due diligence process to ensure fit within the SVG portfolio of companies.  Oversee implementation of the strategic plan in close collaboration with SVG’s strategy leadership team.


    The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop and drive the overall business growth strategy for developing organically and via acquisition. 
    • Conduct market and competitive analyses to determine pipeline for partnerships and acquisitions.
    • Proactively build upon current and develop new industry relationships and deal-sourcing networks to meet the business objectives of the company.
    • Oversee implementation of the strategic plan in close collaboration with SVG’s strategy leadership team.
    • In collaboration with the CEO and CFO, manage the due diligence process for prospects, including but not limited to working through financial aspects of the potential deal.
    • Lead the negotiation with prospective partners and acquirors.
    • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for partnering and acquiring new businesses.
    • Regularly report and present to the company’s executive team and board on status, potential and analysis of all prospects.
    • Manage, develop and mentor a small team of business development managers responsible for growing third party leads through partnerships and acquisitions.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance; MBA preferred
    • 8-10 years of business development experience with at least 5 years of experience in acquisitions
    • Experience building a business development strategy and internal strategic plan.
    • Strong experience building relationships at the C and VP-level
    • High level of energy and thrives on setting ambitious goals and aggressive schedules
    • 2-3 years’ experience managing a small team of business development managers
