    The Service Desk Specialist III is a leader in the service desk organization who helps the Service Desk Manager drive the organization forward. This role will work with business stakeholders to solve problems, implement or improve processes and own problems that are large in scope or have a considerable impact to the business.     Responsibilities

    • Provide technical assistance and support for escalated issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
    • Mentor junior staff members on both technical and non-technical aspects of service desk disciplines
    • Act as a technical lead for the service desk group, which includes interfacing with other IT divisions to solve problems
    • Track all work performed using the Jira ticketing system
    • Work closely with the Service Desk Manager to develop processes & procedures, documentation & training aids, and to execute projects or other critical functions

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 year experience as a Level 3, or Senior support specialist (or related role)
    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
    • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software
    • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
    • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
    • Ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and other peers and management in IT
    • Ability to create high quality documentation for use by IT and the business
