    What we want:


    The Licensing Manager is responsible for leading a team of licensing professionals who obtain/maintain insurance licenses and carrier appointments for over 600 sales agents.  This role will provide input to strategic decisions that affect the function and responsibility of the Licensing Team. This includes implementing metrics, analyzing data, preparing reports and improving processes to ensure internal customers’ requirements are met and exceeded.  This position is responsible for hiring, developing, motivating and performance management for the licensing team members. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to have involvement in the skill development of team members as well as their own professional development as a part of the leadership team.


    • Manage, coach and provide leadership to licensing staff in order to achieve goals with an emphasis on continual learning and professional development.
    • Organize and coordinate work assignments considering staff resources available.
    • Assisting with the identification of issues and problem areas in daily workflow and working with the Operations Department to implement solutions.
    • Identifying procedures to be followed during peak licensing periods.
    • Oversee and ensure accurate data storage of agency and agent licenses and appointments.
    • Serve as the Licensing Team’s point of contact for both internal and external communications.
    • Maintaining data security to prevent any improper use, access, or theft of data.
    • Keeping ahead of industry developments and applying best practices to improve results.
    • Performing other duties/tasks as assigned.


    • 3 or more years of supervisory or managerial experience in clerical area, or a combination of work experience and two or more years of college. Previous experience in a licensing role preferred.
    • Ability to organize resources to accomplish multiple tasks under time pressures is a must.
    • Strong track record of developing and engaging a team. Demonstrated ability to build trust, mentor, train and conduct regular check-ins.
    • High level of attention to detail to maintain accurate and organized records.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, which need to be accurate, efficient, friendly and professional.
    • Wide range of computer skills including familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
