    What we want:


    The Director, Process Improvement will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for process maturity within the company.  This role will be responsible for developing a continuous improvement process and mature process model, implementing process metrics and standards, overseeing daily activities of a small process improvement team. The ability to train and mentor others throughout the organization in lean continuous improvement philosophy, and lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of the projects that ensure delivery of financial and operational KPIs is critical for this role.


    • Influence adoption of best practice methodologies and a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Partner and act as a resource to business units in identifying and prioritizing process improvement projects.
    • Conduct analysis of existing programs, process, documentation needs, internal controls, interdependencies and integration weaknesses to identify opportunities for standardization, improvement, and efficiencies.
    • Explore opportunities to merge lean thinking with digitization efforts to improve modernization and scalability of our business.
    • Provide expert-level methodology guidance to facilitate problem solving and provide direction to solution development.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to analyze, design and implement end to end processes including required project and change management.
    • Conduct and / or facilitate structured root cause analyses, requirements, brainstorming sessions and barrier to deployment identification and removal as needed.
    • Present recommended action plans and results of improvement efforts to senior management. 
    • Ensure project sustainability upon completion by establishing appropriate metrics and a process for ongoing performance management.
    • Provide project status updates, feedback and appropriate reporting on selected projects


    • Ability to challenge conventional thinking, offer unique perspectives and conceive innovative solutions to enhance the customer experience, process improvement and internal controls
    • Strong leadership/mentoring skills applicable to both performance improvement staff and multi-disciplinary teams
    • Excellent analytical abilities, team-building, and project management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff across the enterprise
    • Strong delivery orientation and willing to be hands on to get the job done 
    • Self-starting to lead team to deliver change across the business 
    • Knowledge and understanding of and demonstrated experience applying continuous performance improvement concepts
    • BS/BA Degree in Business or IT (may consider equivalent combination of education and experience) 
    • Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean accreditation or equivalent 
    • At least six (6) years of relevant experience, with specific emphasis in: lean transformation and continuous improvement
    • Previous experience should include a minimum of three years managing direct reports or leading teams
    • Experience in culture change and establishing a new process management department preferred
    • Experience in working to targets to improve customer, people or cost metrics and track record of delivery
