    One of Kansas City’s fastest-growing companies is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Business Development Specialist to join its ranks. In this position, employees will be challenged to push beyond the status quo to drive sales opportunities and help seniors across the nation find better health care solutions.

     

    The Business Development Specialist role works to provide reliable, outstanding customer service to our clients in order to generate additional sales opportunities and company revenue. There is no cold-calling required in this position; you will work directly with potential clients over the phone who are seeking your help.

     

    This is a challenging role that allows for a greater understanding of our company and its processes. We call this position a “utility player,” meaning our BDS agents do a little bit of everything and are at the core of what we do. This position sets you up perfectly for a successful career at SVG; after just six months of BDS training and development, you will have the opportunity to further your career and join our sales team or explore other departmental openings.

    Responsibilities

    • Connect and empathize with seniors interested in Medicare Supplement insurance
    • Execute transfer of potential client to an in-office licensed agent (for an added compensation bonus)
    • Understand and articulate the benefits of comparison-shopping Medicare Supplement insurance
    • Contribute to meetings and training sessions regularly, with excitement and passion — maybe a creative idea (or 10)
    • Have fun within a great culture that rewards positivity and performance
