    What We Want:

    The Senior Compliance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the business operates within federal, state laws, rules and regulations and internal policies and procedures.  They will lead and conduct internal audits to assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies to ensure that all program elements are achieved in accordance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations governing compliance and Insurance Telesales. They are also responsible for leading HIPAA audits, managing Remediation Plans, making recommendations to management of non-compliant businesses and scheduling future audits to monitor progress and adherence.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee Spring Venture Group's Compliance Auditing and Monitoring efforts and conduct periodic and as-needed compliance audits and privacy impact assessments to assess regulatory compliance, privacy and data security compliance
    • Conduct more complicated internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and document findings
    • Manage the internal audit schedule
    • Lead and/or perform HIPAA desk audits
    • Verify that the business operates within local, state and federal laws, procedures, and regulations.                   
    • Make recommendations to management of non-compliant businesses and schedule future audits to monitor progress and adherence
    • Review records to verify that all duties have been completed in accordance with regulations
    • Oversee and monitor activities for compliance with company, state and federal regulations
    • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies
    • Oversee and/or project manage internally generated Remediation Plans
    • Provide reports on a regular basis and promptly escalate concerns, and as directed or requested, to keep Compliance Management informed of the operation and progress of compliance reviews, audits and mitigation plans
    • Participate in the Compliance Risk Assessment and mitigation process
    • Contribute to the annual Compliance Work Plan
    • Maintain knowledge of federal, state laws, rules and regulations to ensure compliant practices
    • Support creation of internal policies and procedures
    • Mentor Compliance team members as appropriate and applicable

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience auditing within a Managed Care or related healthcare-focused organization or Insurance TeleSales
    • Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance risks
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Acute listening skills
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Self-motivated
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
    • Healthcare Compliance, Privacy Certifications and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are a plus, but not required
